Planning a trip to Connecticut? The office of Tourism has just revamped their website, adding 52 pre-planned itineraries to help you plan a Family Fun trip, a romantic getaway, or a cultural tour. There's also a special section with hotel deals in the area.
JUST A “CLICK” AWAY – CONNECTICUT CREATES CUSTOMIZED ITINERARIES/SPECIAL DEALS WITH 52 GETAWAYS
HARTFORD, CT, July 11, 2003 – Travelers looking for an easier and quicker way to planning their next getaway can log onto the Connecticut Office of Tourism website at www.ctbound.org and choose from one of 52 customized itineraries as part of the state’s 52 Getaways section. These user-friendly recommendations feature Connecticut’s signature attractions and happenings. Each themed getaway highlights detailed information such as description of the attractions, hours of operation, price and directions. The 52 Getaways are divided into four sections: Family Fun, Time for Two, Active Adventures and Art, Culture and History.
Connecticut is a state full of surprises with an abundance of museums, historic homes, cultural events, historical sites and activities – many of which are off the beaten path. Now through the state’s resourceful website, and with one simple click, travelers will have an easier and quicker time planning their next getaway.
The Connecticut Office of Tourism has also created a “Specials” section on their website that lists packages and discounts to various hotels, charming B&B, historic inns and other attractions. With the click of a mouse, a list appears highlighting some of the latest and hottest deals around the Constitution State. All essential information – including a description of the package, dates of availability and contact information – is clearly outlined, plus some direct links are provided to each individual property and attraction mentioned in the package.
