Isla Mujeres for $65/night

I recently returned from the Avalon Reef Club in Isla Mujeres, a tiny island just off the coast of Cancun. They've been running great deals all summer, and they just announced the best one so far: you can book this all-inclusive beach resort for $65/night, per person. That includes meals, drinks (alcoholic too), some water sports, airport transfers and even tips. You can book this deal now through August 14 for travel through December 1, 2003.

Avalon has three other resorts in Cancun itself. The Avalon Grand and Avalon Bay are also both all-inclusive, with all-inclusive privileges extended there. That means if you are at guest at one, you can go to any of the others and enjoy the restaurants, bars, swimming pools and recreation for no extra charge.

The Avalon Baccara is a boutique resort hotel in Cancun that is not part of the all-inclusive deal, but is worth a look. This is the resort where the reality movie "Real Cancun" was filmed. The atmosphere is not your typical Spring Break scene at all, however; the resort is rustic and picturesque.
