Wired Hotel Rooms on the Rise

Tuesday September 9, 2003
If you're a business traveler who depends on high-speed Internet access, you're in luck. Increasingly, hotels are starting to realize they need to add this service to keep your business. According to an article from TripInfo.com, it is expected that, by 2007, the number of hotels offering WiFi will increase from last year's count of 1,000 hotels to 25,000. By that year, the number hotel rooms offering some sort of Internet access is expected to increase to 2.3 million.

And that's not all. Forget those ridiculous $10 per day charges for high speed access. More hotels are offering the service free. Now, that's progress.
