Hyatt Hill Country Makeover
Friday April 1, 2005
Spring in the Texas Hill Country is an amazing sight. Mile upon mile of grassy field alongside highways and back roads are transformed by a wash of bluebonnets, a wildflower adopted as the state flower of Texas over a hundred years ago.
I guess the Hyatt Hill Country Resort was inspired. They just completed a $13 million transformation of their own. The 500 rooms in this resort just northwest of San Antonio were completely made over, with the new Hyatt Grand Bed, furniture, lighting and a Wi-Fi installation.
Men can get a fresh look, too, with new barbershop and spa services just for them. And if you need more of a challenge than hunting wildflowers, the golf course will be expanded to 36 holes in May. High-tech golf carts equipped with GPS will even give you putting tips.
