Wynn Las Vegas

There's a buzz about the new Wynn Las Vegas resort opening this month on the Las Vegas Strip. People are talking -- and speculating -- because there's not much actual information to go on. No pictures of the hotel's design are being released until two weeks after the opening. Only Wynn himself can speak about the resort "on the record," and he's not saying much. Wynn was reported by the OC Register as saying the casino will be "suffused with natural light - a rare commodity in the smoke-filled gambling warrens of Sin City."

Here's what I know: the new casino hotel, located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, will open April 28 and cater to high rollers. The hotel will have 2,700 guest rooms, making it one of the largest hotels in the world. Nineteen restaurants will be located on property. Luxury shopping outlets will include a Maserati dealership.

I'm headed to Las Vegas this week, so stay tuned. I'll see what I can find out.
