L'Auberge du Lac

Traveling I-10 east between Houston and New Orleans, you couldn't miss all the signs for L'Auberge du Lac over the past year. Now, resort owners are hoping travelers will stop along the way. The new luxury resort casino, opening May 26, hopes to lure Houston business travelers a few hours east for some Las Vegas-style action.

L'Auberge du Lac, on Contraband Bayou in Lake Charles, is connected to one of the largest single-story riverboat casinos in the world. Back on land, a full-service spa, Tom Fazio golf course and tropical pool with a sandy beach, swim-up bar and lazy river and several restaurants round out the weekend.
