Drinks at the Wynn

Monday July 11, 2005
My hotel spy took her $25 in quarters to the Wynn:
It's a beautiful hotel. The color scheme is bolder than the Bellagio, but the style is similar. I particularly noticed the ornate tilework on the floors.

After we cashed in our quarters, we decided to spend them at the bar instead of the casino. We ordered a couple of Cosmopolitans. It was just before dinner and we were hungry, so we asked the bartender if she had anything to munch on. She gave us a small packet of cashews. Then the bill came. It was over $30. We couldn't even pay for it with our winnings. Honestly, the man [Steve Wynn] has a bazillion dollars, and he has to charge us $4 for a packet of cashews?
I wonder what they cost in the mini bars.
