Traveling With the Big Dogs

Robert, who knows how to get results, butters me up before asking his question:
Ok, first you have a wonderful collection of hotels listing those that welcome pets. Thank you.

But could you please review and take note of those that only accept gerbils. I have read through a number of the hotels now, where the pet policy says something like, pet must be less than 25 lbs - in other words, a gerbil. I am wasting time trying to find one that actually takes dogs.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, first check the list of pet friendly hotel chains. Your best bets from that list are Loews Hotels (no weight limit), Kimpton Hotels (no weight limit), W Hotels (40 lbs.) and Red Roof Inn (80 lbs.).

I work for Accor Hotels (owner of Red Roof Inn) and just for the record, all Accor properties worldwide are pet friendly. This includes every brand from Sofitel to Motel 6 (which also has no weight limit for furry friends!)

Carrie, great info, I’ll work on getting the official info on pet policies from each of the Accor hotels and add them to the list.
