Best Caribbean Islands for Hurricane Season Vacations

Hurricane season officially started last week, with thousands of people still recovering from hurricanes of the past couple of years. Experts recently extended the season through the end of November.

It might make you hesitate before booking a Caribbean vacation -- but does it need to? The Dow Jones Island Index lists islands least likely to be hit by hurricanes, even in the active season predicted this year. Six of the top ten were in the Caribbean:

• Curacao (#4)
• Florida Keys (#5)
• Bonaire (#6)
• Grand Cayman (#7)
• Barbados (#9)
• Aruba (#10)
