Just Back From: Scottsdale

Contributor Holly Reich checked in to the old Hollywood and newly hip Hotel Valley Ho in the heart of walkable Scottsdale, Arizona.

Originally built in 1956, the hotel drew the likes of Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Marilyn Monroe. After an $80 million renovation in 2005, Holly reports, the Hotel Valley Ho is a serene mix of "mid-century modern architecture with Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired elements and 'southwestern' touches."
