Criss Angel Shackled to an Imploding Hotel? That's Good TV

Tuesday July 22, 2008
Criss Angel at the Luxor Las VegasWhat could be more fascinating than watching the demise of a hotel with a dusty, fiery implosion? Watching Criss Angel survive one.
Angel will be shackled on the 7th story balcony of Clearwater's famed 9-story Spyglass Resort located on the Gulf of Mexico waterfront. Tim Vincent will host the special one-hour event and walk viewers at home and spectators on-site through every detail, from Angel's entrance to when the dust finally settles. In full view of the entire audience, Angel will attempt to escape steel restraints and make it to a hovering helicopter on the roof before the building implodes in front of the crowd, cameras and viewers at home. [A&E]
The stunt will be performed at the Clearwater Beach, Florida hotel at around 10 pm ET on July 30. It will be broadcast live on A&E, or if you're in town, catch the live feed on video screens outside the resort. Planned for the site is the Kiran Grand Resort and Spa, a 350-unit condo/rental development.

Anyone have memories from the Spyglass Resort? Are you planning on watching, either on TV or live?

that was the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen. he does the same crap ever time… he acts like he didn’t make it and then shows up somewhere else. it was obvious that the video cut from a live feed to a taped feed when he got out of the hotel room. they really need to get a better more believable host too. he didn’t sell it at all… he wasn’t concerned in the least. fake crap.
