It may not always be easy to be one of the super-rich, but one thing is certain: they don't staycation. Elite Traveler runs down the 101 Top Hotel Suites Of The Year to make their travel choices a bit easier. Among the notable stays:
- The most expensive suite in the world is the Royal Penthouse Suite at the Hotel President Wilson (Geneva, Switzerland) at $52,000 a night.
- That makes the Royal Villa at the Grand Resort Lagonissi (Attica, Greece) a relative bargain at $52,000 a night.
- The most expensive in the United States was the Ty Warner Penthouse at the Four Seasons Hotel (New York City) at $30,000 per night.
- If you want to try out the high life, a few went for under $1,000 a night, including an Ocean Front Suite at the St. Regis Ft. Lauderdale (soon to be a Ritz-Carlton) and a one-bedroom suite at the Palms Place Hotel and Condo at the Palms in Las Vegas. The rest of the "cheap" suites were in Africa and Thailand.
