Choosing a Disney World Hotel
I get a lot of questions from people planning a visit to Disney World. Choosing the right Disney resort is important, even if you don't plan to spend much time in your room. Why? Because of travel time to all the fun things you want to do. Disney World is the size of San Francisco, so even with the efficient and free Disney transportation system, getting from point A to point B can take a long time. It can seem even longer at the end of a busy day at the theme parks.
The feel of the resorts is quite different from each other, too, each setting a distinct mood. Will you stay in a Victorian fantasy, or a Caribbean island? Price is an issue, too, since resorts range from $82 a night to $350 and above.
Will you order room service? Need a water slide? Want to ride a monorail every day? Would it help to have a washer and dryer in your room? To help you figure out what's important, I've put together some tools to help you decide which Disney World resort is right for you. Start with an overview of Disney World hotels, so you can get a feel for what the resorts offer in each different price range. Check the Disney World map to see how everything is laid out. Look at pictures of each Disney resort. And, see what other guests have said in guest reviews of Disney World resorts. (If you've stayed in a Disney World resort lately, tell us what you thought of it!
