Disney for the Holidays
Wednesday December 24, 2008
Disney World has been getting trussed up for holiday visitors since the beginning of November, and the festivities are in full swing. The resort has been decked out with no less than 1,600 Christmas trees (including one at Epcot that is 65 feet high) and 14.2 miles of garland. All of the resort hotels are decorated in their holiday finest, including a life-sized gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian and an edible, rotating Christmas carousel at the Beach Club.
All four theme parks are joining in the fun also, with Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney MGM Studios, Holidays Around the World at Epcot, and Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at the Animal Kingdom.
