Wow! If you were following me on Twitter a couple of weeks ago, you saw pictures of the AMAZING new hotel where I stayed. If you've walked along Ocean Drive in Miami's South Beach, you've seen (and maybe taken a picture of) the famous Versace Mansion. In January, creative Miami restauranteur and event planner Barton G. Weiss bought the mansion and transformed it (in an unprecedented three months) into an exclusive, one-of-a-kind boutique hotel: The Villa by Barton G.
I was the first journalist invited to stay at this exquisite home, and once I arrived at the velvet ropes outside the iron gate, I abandoned all plans to explore South Beach in favor of luxuriating in the Villa's Signature Suite. Read on to hear what it's like to have your own private butler (hint: breakfast in bed); a fabulous suite with a balcony overlooking South Beach; private access to a rooftop sundeck, a cozy Moroccan lounge, and the Thousand Mosaic Pool; and spend the night on a mattress that's as big as two King-sized beds placed side-by-side (and longer than a California King!). You have to at least look at the pictures to believe it. It's more than a touch of the good life at The Villa by Barton G.
