Best Hotels & Resorts of the Year: Most Regal

This year marked the opening of one of the most unique hotels I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and I'm proud to say I was the first journalist to see it.

I felt like royalty from the moment I was ushered past the camera-carrying South Beach crowds and through the golden gates of this Versace Mansion-turned-intimate hotel, the Villa by Barton G. Inside, the personalized service continued. My own private, British-certified butler...sushi and the perfect martini in my suite...housemade French pastries served in bed on a silver tray...I could get used to the royal treatment in no time at all.
