Best Hotels & Resorts of the Year: Glitziest

Another first I had among travel journalists: I stayed in all three hotels of the new CityCenter Las Vegas. I loved the condo-style suites of Vdara, its short walk to Bellagio, and its cozy, inviting spa. The crowds were at ARIA's casino, multitude of restaurants, and the VIVA ELVIS show by Cirque du Soleil. Across the glittering CityCenter shopping mall awaits the sanctuary of the Mandarin Oriental, with its 24th floor Sky Lobby, indulgent guest rooms and the "Sexiest spa on the Strip."
