Caribbean Escape at the Hyatt Regency Curacao

It's shaping up to be a wild summer, what with the wildfires out in Colorado and tropical storm in stall mode over my Florida home of late. So reading guest writer Janet Malin's review of a recent stay in the Caribbean paradise of Curacao had some much needed transporting effects for me here in the socked in no-Sunshine State. The Hyatt Regency Curacao, she writes, is just a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport (she flew nonstop from Miami) but feels worlds away from reality with its idyllic setting on Spanish Water Bay. When she wasn't relaxing poolside with live reggae music or watching charter boats head out to sea from her balcony, she was exploring the colorful pastel-hued architecture of Willemstad and shopping in the open markets. Among the on-property perks are the 18-hole Peter Dye championship golf course and the luxe ATABEI Spa, where you can mix your own body scrub from local sea salts. Curacao, take me away! These photos of the Hyatt Regency Curacao certainly did.
