Guide Review - Soniat House
This quietly luxurious inn is located on a residential stretch of the French Quarter that is nonetheless very convenient to the shops and restaurants. Visiting celebrities such as Robert Duvall are known to stay here. Despite the higher price, the hotel does not have amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant or even a bar. Instead, the sitting room is kept well-stocked with an honor bar and wine cellar, and guests are welcomed to play bartender. Rooms are opulently furnished with antiques from all over Western Europe. Complimentary breakfast of buttermilk biscuits, Louisiana jam and fresh-squeezed orange juice is served on silver trays either in guest rooms or on the lovely courtyard.
