Guide Review - The Regent Wall Street
Nestled in a gorgeous 1842 Greek Revival building that was once the New York Mercantile Exchange and the U.S. Customs House, this designated historic landmark has been transformed into a lush and grand hotel. During the week, the hotel is typically home to business travelers with large expense accounts. On weekends, lower rates can be had, and Wall Street becomes deserted and, well, pleasantly quiet. 55 Wall has a terrace that overlooks Wall Street for fine dining with a commanding view. Guest rooms won't leave you wanting more space; all have high ceilings (some 14 feet) and are decorated in luxurious Italian-inspired velvets, chenille and silk damask. Marble bathrooms include a saoking tub large enough for two to share.
