"Chasing Liberty" in Prague
Aria Hotel Celebrates "Chasing Liberty" Movie with Prague Package

By , About.com Guide

NYC, 1.26.04 -- To coincide with the much-talked-about release of the movie "Chasing Liberty," in which the daughter of the President of the United States lobbies her father to let her travel freely in Prague, the Aria Hotel, Prague's newest luxury hotel, has unveiled a Chasing Liberty package.

Guests are invited to bring a teenager or escape on their own to experience the rich culture of Europe. Priced at 750 Euro (approximately $948) and valid through April 15, 2004, the Chasing Liberty Package* includes three-night deluxe accommodations in the family-size Beatles Room, since the Beatles were such a liberating, free-spirited force in music. The package also includes:
  • A private three-hour cinema tour highlighting locations from great movies filmed in Prague
  • Courtesy chauffeur from Prague airport
  • Gourmet Breakfast served daily in the Winter Garden or in the privacy of your room
  • Prague concert recommendations by the hotel's Music Director
  • Complimentary Valet Parking
  • In-room computer with High Speed Internet Access
  • Fitness Center Privileges
  • 24-hour Business Center Access
  • Complimentary Music CD/DVD Library
  • Turndown Service with Mineral Water and Chocolates
The Aria, situated in movie-set splendor amidst the Baroque gardens and exquisite palaces of Prague's "little quarter" or Mala Strana, already serves as the home away from home for the movie business which often films in Prague. Matt Damon celebrated his birthday with the cast of "Brother's Grimm" in the Aria's private screening room, and John Shofield, producer of "As Good as it Gets," and "Jerry McGuire," dined with Ivana Trump and Henry Kallan at CODA, the hotel's hot new restaurant. New spring releases also filmed in Prague include "The Prince and Me" with Julia Stiles and "Sound of Thunder" with Edward Burns and Ben Kingsley.

Guests will find themselves enveloped in music in the jewel-like Aria Hotel, the newest property by innovative hotelier Henry Kallan, president of HKHotels. Each of the Aria's four floors is dedicated to a major genre of music, namely Classical, Jazz, Opera, and Contemporary. Each of the hotel's 43 rooms and 9 suites pays homage to a musical genre or great musician, including Brahms, Mozart, British Rock and Swing, through original artwork, a selection of books and a flat-screen computer with the biography of the honored artist and a collection of their music. All richly appointed guestrooms and suites include complimentary Internet access, DVD/CD players, a computer system to help guests enjoy the music of their room's artist or genre, Frette robes and linens, heated Chilean Granite bathroom floors, rainfall showers, and more. From the cozy Music Salon with its wood-burning fireplace, to the sky-lit Winter Garden to the soundproof Music Box, guests have a variety of setting in which to enjoy music. In The Music Library, which is overseen by Dr. Ivana Stehlíková, with a PhD in musicology, guests can "check out" their favorite CDs and DVDs. In addition, Aria guests and friends have the rare opportunity to take in musical performances in the hotel's intimate Screening Room. CODA is the Aria's acclaimed restaurant; in mild weather many also enjoy spectacular views from the Roof Garden Terrace Restaurant. There is also an on-site fitness center.
