Prague Celebrates Three Musical Anniversaries in 2004

Prague, Czech Republic, 1.14.04 - Only open since September, the 52-room, music-themed Aria Hotel, Prague's newest luxury hotel, is offering an enchanting experience in the fairytale city of Prague at an introductory Warm-Up Rate of 195 Euro* (approximately $243 US), valid through April 4, 2004.

Set amidst the Baroque gardens and exquisite palaces of Prague's "little quarter" or Mala Strana, the Aria includes the following services and amenities in the Warm-Up Rate:

Guests will find themselves enveloped in music in the jewel-like Aria Hotel, the newest property by innovative hotelier Henry Kallan, president of HKHotels. Designed by renowned Italian architect Rocco Magnoli, best known for his work for fashion legend Gianni Versace, each of the Aria's four floors is dedicated to a major genre of music, namely Classical, Jazz, Opera, and Contemporary. Each of the hotel's 43 rooms and 9 suites pays homage to a musical genre or great musician, including Brahms, Mozart, British Rock, and Swing, through original artwork, a selection of books and a flat screen computer with the biography of the honored artist as well as a collection of their music. All richly appointed guestrooms and suites include complimentary Internet access, DVD/CD players, a computer system to help guests enjoy music of their room's artist or genre, Frette robes and liens, heated Chilean Granite bathroom floors, rainfall showers, and more. The Aria resonates with the sounds of music from the red and gold Music Salon with its wood-burning fireplace, to the sky-lit Winter Garden to the soundproof Music Box. In The Music Library, which is overseen by Dr. Ivana Stehlikova, with a PhD in musicology, guests can "check out" their favorite CDs and DVDs. In addition, Aria guests and friends have the rare opportunity to take in musical performances in the hotel's intimate Screening Room. CODA, the Aria's acclaimed restaurant under the direction of Nils Jebens, Prague's most celebrated restaurateur. Guests of the Aria enjoy spectacular views from the Roof Garden Restaurant. There is also an on-site fitness center.

Just outside, visitors to this magical city will revel in its musical offerings. 2004 marks the 150th birthday of Leos Janacek, the centenary of the death of Antonin Dvorak and the 180th birthday of Bedrich Smetana. Dr. Ivana will steer guests toward any of Prague's musical events.
