Review: Every detail is taken care of in this stunning boutique hotel. Luxury linens adorn a wooden canopy bed. A spacious bathroom boasts a deep bathtub and separate glass-walled shower. Upper floor rooms have an amazing, unobstructed view of the ocean. The first floor rooms have patio doors right to the gorgeous pool.
Truly one of the best pools I have ever had the pleasure to swim in. Dark blue tiles and crystal clean water. Fountains into the pool and jacuzzi-like jets at one end of the pool can be turned off for a more serene feel. The staff are immediately responsive when you jump into the pool. They set up chairs with multiple towels so that you can sun in comfort and are pleasantly present without being intrusive.
The Avantika is definitely close enough to the bar scene to enjoy, but feels miles away. The Avantika is a new treasure not to be missed -- the best of several luxury properties we stayed in during our trip to Thailand.
