St. Lamberti Church

The darkened spire of St. Lamberti Church can be seen in this picture of the Prinzipalmarkt (main market) of Munster's Altstadt. The black effect of the ornate spire is a result of weathering of its limestone surface. High up in the spire hang three infamous giant iron cages. More on that in just a moment.
