Mühlenhof Open-Air Museum

Farther out from the Altstadt is the Mühlenhof Open-Air Museum, a "village" reenacting farming life of 150 years ago. Shoemakers, breadmakers, and blacksmiths ply their trades. Over two dozen original structures from throughout the surrounding region (Westphalia) were transported here. Visitors can see a windmill, a farmhouse, a horse-driven grinding mill, and a smokehouse, among others.
