Oscar's
American Brasserie is the casual
venue at the Waldorf Astoria.
Named for the hotel's
most beloved and memorable mâitre
d' (Oscar Tschirky), Oscar's is
open for breakfast and lunch
(buffets and a la carte menu)
and dinners. Sunday brunch is
served 11:30 to 4:30. The eclectic
menu includes Japanese, Low
Carbohydrate items, and microbrewed
beer. In addition, Oscar's still
serves two famous dishes connected
with the hotel, Veal Oscar and
the famed Waldorf Salad. (In
fact, you can order the two
together with the $19 "Classic.")
