How Hotel Was Selected: A friend's mother

Description:
Prior to making our reservations, my friends and I had called the hotel to find out exactly what amenities were included with the room we were going to reserve. They had promised us a room with a fridge, a microwave, and asked us whether we wanted a balcony or an exit to the courtyard. We decided to have the balcony, and booked right then.

When we arrived, we were slightly discouraged to find that our portion of the hotel was directly behind a Wendy's drive-thru. Discouragement soon gave way to total disappointment when we found that our room was on the ground floor, had a view of a cement wall and fire extinguisher, had no microwave or fridge, and was dirty, to put it mildly.

When we asked what had happened to the beautiful room we were promised, the staff replied that we were given the room we paid for, and IF they were able to, they would call us back and move us to a different room. Needless to say they never called us back, and when asked, never gave us a more suitable room. I do not recommend Maison St. Charles Quality Inn and Suites to anyone!
