How Hotel Was Selected: Found this hotel by recommendation of other cruise passengers on a cruise review website, and booked it through an interline hotel discounter.

Description:
I really liked this hotel. After a very difficult air trip from Ottawa Ontario to Miami on a "big" Canadian airline that shall here remain nameless, it was like a breath of fresh air to arrive at the hotel. I have read other quite unpleasant reviews of this hotel, as well as some good ones.

The beds were very comfortable with many pillows, and a big fluffy duvet on the bed. The room was nicely appointed. There was in room coffee maker and coffee and there was internet access via the TV in the room with a provided wireless keyboard for 10.99 per 24 hour period.

The hotel restaurant was nice with good food but I found it a bit on the pricey side. If I may suggest, there is a very nice little cafe across the street, that serves sandwiches, wraps, bagels, coffee and pastries for very reasonable prices. You can eat in or carry out.

If you have time you can take a taxi to Bayside Marketplace for 4.00$. Here there are a variety of touristy shops and some very nice restaurants as well as boat tours depart from here. The hotel pool area is very nice and there is a garden and a walkway along the waterway that is a Manatee zone, so you may be lucky and spot one.

The hotel staff is very polite and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
