What's Special About the Aruba Marriott Resort: A relaxing and fun environment that is popular with honeymooners and families alike. The aloe plant in the resort's logo and Dutch-inspired architecture set the tone throughout. Guest rooms are some of the largest on Aruba at an average of 500 square feet, with 100 square foot balconies.

Guest Rooms and Rates: 413 guest rooms including 20 suites, each 500 square feet with 100 square foot balconies, from $325.
Insider Tips:
  • Palapas provide shade on the beach and must be reserved the day of use, one per guest room.
  • Rooms up to the fifth floor are considered "Garden View," rooms above are either "Island View" or "Ocean View."
  • Couples may be interested in room #820. The smallest of the suites, the Honeymoon Suite has an enclosed toilet room, a whirlpool tub and a separate shower.
  • To catch a sporting event, walk over to the Marriott Ocean Club, where Champions Sports Bar is loaded with TVs and pool tables.
Meetings and Weddings at the Aruba Marriott: Ten meeting rooms totaling 11,608 square feet, including a 8,434 square foot ballroom. Most couples opt to get married on the beach which, although breezy, faces the sunset.
Activities: The full-service Mandara Spa offers treatments in their facility or on the beach. Water sports include windsurfing, kiteboarding lessons with Dare2Fly, and snorkeling. A variety of daily activities include water aerobics, Bingo, volleyball, scavenger hunts and beach chair massages.
Dining at the Aruba Marriott: The Ketsu Sushi Lounge is in the lobby; Tuscany's is Northern Italian; La Vista offers casual dining all day including buffets at dinner; Simply Fish on the beach serves, well, fish; Wave's Beach Bar & Grill serves one of the best gourmet hamburgers I've ever had (Fresca Burger with eggplant, Kalamata olives, capers, red wine vinaigrette and crumbled goat cheese, $11.25).
Kid Friendly Activities: The Bon Bini Kids Club is a supervised program for 5 to 12 year old children (at an extra charge).
