This Kimpton boutique hotel is a reinvention of an old, rustic ski lodge. Wood paneling and beamed ceilings mix with hip, whimsical furnishings. Rooms are on the small side, but kept very clean. Guests are treated to free Wi-Fi access, morning coffee, and wine receptions. An onsite ski shop and short walk to the ski lifts adds convenience for winter guests. Sky Hotel has a small fitness center, with access to a larger one next door (for $15 per day).
Sky Hotel - a Kimpton Hotel: Guest Rooms and Suites
Guest rooms are painted warm yellow with faux fur throws on the bed to keep you warm, and are stocked with Starbucks coffee, Aveda bath products, and Frette linens. All six of the one-bedroom suites have fireplaces. Rooms in the three-story section of the hotel facing the street have balconies and French doors.
