We had a couple of issues with the property. First of all, the food was mediocre at best. I expect to pay dearly at these resorts, but I also expect better fare than we found. Way too much fried foods with little taste. After the first day, we ate at places outside the resort. Big D's was our favorite. About a 6 minute cab ride, outside on a porch (but they are just finishing an inside eating area)with freshly caught local fare. Especially liked the conch salad and the conch steamed in foil w/ veggies. Heads and tails above anything back at the hotel.
Last issue was the beach. Soft, talcum powder-like sand. But it was littered with pieces of plastic and other items. It could be spectacular if they spent the time to sift it or rake it. The views are magnificent.
I would definitely go back even with the comments above. Truly an outstanding and relaxing vacation. Take a book or 12, because there is literally nothing to do there. And that was okay with us! There will be a casino coming in November to the hotel.
