Paris
The buffet is a great deal and gives tastes of several different regions of France, all at one sitting. Francophiles will love having a view of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe from guest rooms. One of the most spectacular views of the Strip can be had daily from the built-to-scale Tower.

Bellagio
This hotel has a special place in my heart, ever since I spent my honeymoon there a couple of years ago. Fashioned after a lakeside village in Italy, The Bellagio offers world-class shopping, nearly a dozen restaurants including a caviar bar on the casino floor, and Cirque du Soleil's "O". Ask for a lake view room for an enchanting look at the dancing fountains gracing the 8-acre lake.

Caeser's Palace
The first mega-resort on the Strip is still one of the most elegant. The Forum Shops are a must-see on your trip, even if you don't stay at the hotel, for designer shops and animated statue shows.

Luxor
This hotel is desgined to resemble an Egyptian pyramid, where "inclinators" take guests diagonally up to their rooms. Dance nightly at the "Ra" nightclub or take the kids to an IMAX movie. The hotel is also home to the celebrated Blue Man Group.

Mirage
You can't miss this hotel from the Strip -- outside is a volcano which erupts in flaming lava every half hour. Inside is a tropical landscape with plenty to see, including dolphins, white tigers and illusionists Siegfried and Roy.

New York New York
The first thing you'll likely notice about this casino are the screams coming from the riders on the roller coaster outside. The hotel is inspired by New York City, from the Statue of Liberty outside to the recreation of Central Park inside.

Rio
The Rio is slightly off the Strip, but worth the trip. All rooms are suites with over 600 square feet of space and floor-to-ceiling windows. The all-you-can-eat seafood buffet is one of the best in town, with bottomless plates of lobster and king crab legs. Daily carnival parades pass above the casino floor.

Venetian
This "la dolce vita" at this all-suite hotel inspired by Venice, Italy. The charming shopping area is modeled after St. Mark's Square, complete with gondola rides. Hotel guests and visitors are often treated to strolling opera singers.
