The G.O.s of Club Med Yucatan greeted us with cool towels and fresh drinks. (G.O. stands for Gentil Organisateur, or Kind Organiser, and is the term for the staff of Club Med.) Instead of standing in line at the check-in desk, we were asked to sit on comfortable sofas in the open air lobby. I was impressed by the personalized service, particularly as I arrived alone the first day. The same G.O. showed me to my room, had dinner with me that night and met up with me the next day to help me plan an activity.
