Disney's Magical Express is the newest service introduced for guests staying on-property at a Disney World Resort. This complimentary service offered to all Disney resort guests promises to save time, money and hassle getting to and from the Walt Disney World resort.
Disney's Magical Express: What is it?
Disney's newest amenity for guests staying on-property at a Disney World resort, Disney's Magical Express aims to make a trip to Disney World easier and less expensive for guests flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO). The service includes round-trip airport transfers, baggage transportation, airport check-in, at no extra charge.
Disney's Magical Express: How does it work?
On your way to Disney World:
- Check in at your home airport as usual. You will have special tags from Disney for your luggage.
- Once you arrive in Orlando, bypass baggage claim and head straight to the Disney Airport Welcome Center
- Board a motor coach to the Disney World Resort (their partner is Mears)
- Disney representatives retrieve your luggage from baggage claim, transport it to your Disney World resort, and place it in your room, "magically."
- As you check out of your resort, you will be able to check in to your flight, receive a boarding pass, and check your luggage, all at the Disney resort.
- If you have a late departure that day, go enjoy the theme parks.
- Hop the shuttle to the airport. Your bags and boarding pass are already taken care of, so you can proceed straight to the gate.
Disney's Magical Express: What are the benefits?
Since the service is free, guests save on the cost of a round-trip shuttle (which in our family's case, was about $90 per visit). You will also save time standing in line to check in, waiting at baggage claim, and checking in luggage on your way out. The program is designed to cut back on the time, expense and hassle guests experience getting to and from the airport, so they can spend more time at the Disney theme parks.
Disney's Magical Express: Are all the Disney resorts included?
The program includes all of the on-property Disney World resorts EXCEPT:
• Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin
• Shades of Green
• The seven Downtown Disney hotels near Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
Disney's Magical Express: Are all airlines participating?
Airlines participating in Disney's Magical Express:
• American Airlines
• Continental Airlines
• Delta Air Lines
• Song
• United Airlines
• Ted (from United)

Athough this events celebrates the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, all the parks worldwide will join in the celebration, including the Walt Disney World resort in Florida.
