Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Disney's newest resort, Art of Animation, is scheduled for a 2012 opening. The newest value resort will be located adjacent to Pop Century. Art of Animation is themed around four animated movies: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King.

Over half of the 2,000 guest rooms will be suites, offering families a living room and a bedroom. Room interiors will be themed to match some of Disney's most popular animated movies. The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo sections will have 1,120 family suites. An additional 864 themed traditional guest rooms will be in The Little Mermaid wings. Art of Animation will be a Disney Value resort.

Artists at both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios were consulted on the design of every aspect of the resort, including which movie scenes to recreate. Among the anticipated sights is a 35-foot tall statue of King Triton from The Little Mermaid.
