Bottom Line:
Atmospheric resort inspired by the Old South features willow trees lining a river, New Orleans-style architecture, and a large outdoor playground. What's Special About Disney's Port Orleans:
A moderate resort near Downtown Disney (a boat is available to shuttle you to and from). Port Orleans has two distinct areas, Riverside and French Quarter, both inspired by the Old South. The grounds themselves are lovely and peaceful (I even saw a baby bunny hopping near the walkway on a recent visit) with weeping willow trees draping a meandering river. Wooden bridges transverse the river and lead to common areas such as a large swimming pool, outdoor playground complex, and a food court with a view of a paddlewheel. Unique acitivites at this resort include horsedrawn carriage rides and fishing from the bridge.Guest Rooms and Rates:
Rooms start at $133, although sometimes rates as low as $109 can be found.Compare rates on Kayak
