From Heather: Caliente Resort is clearly the most upscale clothing-optional resort built to date. The property is immaculate as it is impressive, the 33,000 sq. ft. clubhouse can stand toe-to-toe with most any country club clubhouse in the world and the lagoon pool with waterfall grotto is all that is advertised. Dining, entertainment and staff are all commensurate with the resort's 5-Star rating.
With all that going for it is there any downside? The answer is a conditional yes. If you are looking for a quite sensual experience with your significant other I'd suggest booking mid-week or at least on a weekend that doesn't correspond with a major holiday or Halloween. During those times "Lifestyle" couples flock in droves and as Dorothy said, "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."
Over a fine dinner one doesn't have to hear who did what to whom (and how often). We've heard there is a new General Manager (this makes how many?) who is instituting new policies to enhance the vacation experience. We shall see.
