Families! You will LOVE the Luxor. We almost did not stay here because most rants were so bad. But I am so happy we did! I am in shock that people were ranting about the Luxor! So I will RAVE!
It's beautiful, it accommodates children so well. They allowed my daughter to stay in our room with a roll away bed, which she said was more comfortable than her bed at home! (All other hotels required we get another room once they heard we were a family of 5.)
The furniture was expensive, not cheapie, and the rooms were comfortable and roomy. The bathrooms are awesome with lots of vanity space and beautiful tile.
HINT: Stay in the Pyramid! Our friends stayed in one of the Towers and did not like it as much. The staff and reception personnel were great. Very important to me was that I didn't feel like I was in a mall, no expensive stores you had to stroll through ... just arcades, theatres, restaurants and casinos, which I can deal with. The kids were in heaven!
The only flaw, if there is one, is that the restaurants were very expensive. For example, a family of five will spend $80 to $100 average for dinner, and for breakfast and lunch approximately $40 to $50. We found less expensive places to eat! The pools are gorgeous, but again the bar and food court were VERY expensive.
Stay at the Luxor, you won't regret it! The Luxor is magnificent.
