From Merry: The rooms are average for the price. The staff is competent but far from friendly.

The casino is small enough you can find your friends but the machines have to be some of the tightest I've ever played. Dealers at the table games are more like zombies than live people. Their "new" comp system under MGM ownership is the worst. I ran up almost 10,000 points and all I got comped was a $45 room service bill.

The pool area is right beside the construction, there is literally nothing more than a few boulders between the pool and the site. The construction is around the clock, I was awakened several times during the night to the beep-beep of back up alarms on construction equipment.

Too bad, the Monte Carlo USED to be a great place to stay, MGM has turned it into a just another money sucking stop on the Strip with little to offer its guest beyond an overpriced room.
