Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino
Guest review by MN, visited June 2007

From MN: Visited Las Vegas for the first time in my 33 years on a business trip and stayed at Paris based on a co-worker's recommendation. I have no idea how other nearby properties compare but my overall reaction is "blah."

The interior and casino floor is a fake outdoors indoors complete with sky for ceiling and the "always dusk" lighting is fine for the casino but a little low for the shops, restaurants, etc. Downright laughable was the "Frenchification" of everything with signs such as "Le Car Rental" making the entire theme seem like a joke.

With the exception of one waiter, all staff -- from the reception desk to the concierge to the dealers and so on -- were cold and standoffish at best to boorish at worst. I am no high roller by any means but this joint flunks when it comes to customer service.

With the exception of Lettuce Entertain You chain Mon Ami Gabi, the restaurants on the property were mediocre at best in terms of food quality. Prices were typically high, from $10 for a stack of pancakes to $3 for a 20 oz. bottle of soda to $5 fees on any ATM transactions.

The room itself was well-kept but no more remarkable in its furnishings than any mid-grade Marriott property.
