We checked into the Island towers rooms, they were filthy. Black mold in the bathtubs, on the floor and shower walls. Rooms smelled like skunks.
The food in the buffet, coffee shop, Room Service AND the very pricey Legends Steakhouse was terrible. Worst food and service I have ever had in all my years of living in Las Vegas.
The staff was very unhelpful and rude in ALL areas. I heard rumors while staying here the company that owns it is bankrupt and at least 50 percent of the hotel is being torn down soon. They have cut staff, so that explains the lack of service.
The only good things I can say about our stay was the beds in the front towers were very nice and the show Comedy Stop at the Trop was great! It's only 19 bucks and comes with one drink, prolly the best comedy show value on the strip.
But don't eat, gamble (we lost big time here) or stay at the Tropicana, you will be disappointed! According to my friend who is a gold card member here its gone waaaaay downhill, used to be great but not anymore. She turned in her gold player card upon checkout and informed them she will not be coming back.
