From SmartCajun: Dealers very friendly. Wait staff in cafe friendly, but shorthanded. Only one cafe available for breakfast. Tables did not have covers and were not appealing. Turn around of tables to seat people took a very long time making patrons on wait list very slow to seat and very unhappy. Hostesses were not friendly or pleasant to patrons. They could use etiquette lessons.
Buffet was OK, but if your are going to serve shrimp don't make people wait in line for 8 shrimp. Very aggravating to wait 15 minutes for 6-8 shrimp. Everyone that wanted some would pass on it because of the wait. It appeared that the buffet was trying to limit the amount served. If that was the case it is best not to have it on the menu.

Most table games were $10 minimum. Dealer dealt from continuous rack. While there for two days, I can only remember dealers busting less than 10 times. To play a single deck required 25 to 50 minimums.

Only one crap table open and was unable to get a place to play. Slots seemed very tight. Never saw any large payoffs or heard of any.

Room was very nice, but for the price $210 not comparable to Ceaser's in Las Vegas.

Did not play golf but the course is visible from the road and it appeared to be well maintained for the season.

As the evening progressed they opened up a new section of tables. These they played with a regular shoe and the dealer seemed to bust more than on the continuous shuffler type of shoe. In fact this may be the time I realized that the dealers actually did bust at times.

All in all, the place is worth a visit if you don't plan on staying overnight. A little too pricey for the area, but when you're the only show in town competition for gambling is in their favor. My wife dropped several hundred dollars at the tables etc. and couldn't get a comp for lunch at the buffet.

Despite all of the amenities it offers, it is not for me. I still prefer Las Vegas or another place in Louisiana.
