From Texas Girl: This was a sad excuse for a brand new upscale hotel. I was very disappointed in not only the room but the service.
I had to stop and move over for the wait staff...after arguing with the front desk about our nonsmoking room that we had held but to our surprise when we got there that one was taken...after a few minutes of continuing to tell her we refused a smoking room, she half heartedly gave us supposedly a suite...only one bed...we requested two...she said we would get a roll away and assured us it was just as good.
I am glad we didn't pay extra for the supposed suite we got. Pretty sad.
We had to check out before we had time to enjoy the outside pool. Check out almost as soon as we got there. Check out at 11:00. Wasn't able to enjoy the outside amenities...but they were sure to make us stand in a line to write our names down and wear a bracelet just to look around.
Then upon arriving back into the hotel to go upstairs to get our luggage we were stopped and asked if we had a room key to get up there. Not what I would call hospitality. Hopefully they will be able to make the appropriate changes and turn this into a better place for us Texans!
