From Carolyn: I stayed at the Villa Convento Hotel for three weeks while doing research for a book.
My room was charming and very private, in a little building detached from the main hotel. Nevertheless as a single woman I felt safe there because I entered through the main lobby.
The owners, the Campo family, became like family to me. I loved staying there.
