Haunted Hotel - Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming

By Charlyn Keating Chisholm, About.com

The Bottom Line: Rosie and her husband checked into the hotel on their honeymoon. One night, the husband went to the lounge, where he met a new lady friend. While he was away, Rosie came down to find him. She spotted the pair together, and watched as they left the lounge and headed upstairs together. Rosie followed them upstairs to the woman's fourth floor room. In a jealous rage, she killed her husband and the other woman. She returned to the honeymoon suite and turned the gun on herself.
The Haunting: The ghosts of all three have been reported by guests and employees of the hotel. Rosie is reported to be a spirit dressed in a long blue gown on the second floor. She is heard alternatively laughing and crying. Her husband, dressed in a period costume of black dress coat with tails, black pants, black boots and a large, shiny silver button on his white shirt, has been seen in various places including the fifth floor and the basement.
The Other Woman: The woman from the lounge has been spotted wearing a short red dress with white lace. Once, the hotel had mannequins dressed as a bride and groom in the lobby. A hotel employee saw the spirit in the red dress, just as the ride mannequin toppled over onto the floor.
