From Kekee: I really enjoyed getting picked up from the airport and brought to the resort, and they handle your luggage for you. I must say the room was not what I expected for a resort but being that I've never been to a resort I really didn't know what to expect.
I guess I thought more luxury, but the room was like a typical hotel room with two full size or queen size beds. But since we didn't spend much time in the room it was fine enough to sleep in.
Room service responded to our request in a timely manner so that was great. And the room was clean when we arrived. We didn't try the pool.
We did have reservations to the Boatwright's restaurant in the resort but we were still full by the time our reservation time came, so we canceled, so I don't how good the food was there. We did eat in the cafeteria area once, it was good for cafeteria food, and as any place in Disney World the prices are up there, but that's just the cost of going to Disney. We did have the dining plan which was great for our family of five, so that saved us over a thousand dollars. But overall if you are on a budget this resort was great.
I enjoyed the way you felt like you were in the bayou, and being from the south that was nice.
The resort is pretty big so there is a lot of walking, but our overall experience was pleasant. We would go back and stay there but if we have enough money we would try one of the deluxe resorts!!
