Guest Review of Driskill Hotel

From Straykat: We love this place!!! This is one of the most beautiful hotels of all time.

We stayed in one of the larger rooms (with a queen pull-out sofa), which was a good sized room in the historic section of the hotel. The room was comfortable. The pillows are duck feathers, so if you are allergic, request foam pillows (which weren't that great).

We didn't know about the hauntings, but believe we may have had two encounters with ghosties. 1) Went down to the mezzanine and then got back into the elevator to go to the lobby. Pressed "L" but somehow ended up on the 4th floor (where the woman committed suicide). Went back on elevator, pressed L and ended up back on 5th floor, where we started.

2) Didn't realize till just now that our daughter was complaining that the lights kept coming back on. While reading about the hauntings, discovered that the "ghosties" like to turn lights on/off. So, who knows?? Maybe we were fortunate enough to be greeted by the oldest guests of this fantastic hotel. We will be back.
