Enclave Suites

From JD: Where to begin...We have stayed at Enclave many times over the past 4 years and it seems to get worse each time we stay. This last time was our last. When we arrived we found our room was missing a TV in one of the bedrooms and the TV in the other bedroom did not work.

When I called I was told someone would be up to check on it. I eventually went to the lobby where I was told in person that since each unit is individual owned they could not guarantee that each unit would have a TV in each room (this is not what their website promised). I asked to speak to the manager several times and was told that was not possible as he was not there.

OK, we're on vacation so I put the TV thing aside determined to enjoy the stay. I was awakened at 2am by the sound of a woman screaming. I looked out the window and saw a full scale riot taking place in the parking lot. Apparently there is an after hours club across the street and some sort of fight broke out which spilled into the parking lot. There was a lot of shouting and running and an ambulance and fire truck showed up...didn't see any police until the following morning. The noise died down around 4am.

I guess my point would be this establishment has gone from a very comfortable, moderately priced, great place to stay and over time has deteriorated into a poorly managed dump. I have stayed in 4 star hotels and I have stayed in moderate hotels throughout Orlando the difference being at least in the other moderate hotels the management and staff were trying to make my stay enjoyable and I felt much safer.
