From Lisa: We LOVED this hotel!! We were very skeptical after reading all of the bad reviews but I am so glad that we stayed there! The hotel has so many things going on you never need to leave. We got an extremely good price on our stay. We had 2 birthdays on the week of our stay and they gave us both nights free!!
I was also very pleased when we checked in to find out that we got a Spongebob room. They had originally told me that with the birthday rate we could not get a Spongebob room and then when I checked in I told the girl that my sons favorite character was Spongebob so she went out of her way to get us a Spongebob room. That made his birthday!!
We booked one character breakfast and got to see Spongebob, Patrick, Dora, Angelica and Blue Clues. The breakfast was similiar to the buffet breakfast with a few more things to pick from. We loved the pools and the slides. The poolside entertainment was so much fun. My husband and daughter got slimed. The nightly entertainment was great also. They have karaoke every other night and even if the people are boring singing the staff will absoulutely crack you up dancing and acting goofy.
There are a lot of activities with a charge but what resort wouldn't charge? My children did the build a bear in the Nick Workshop and it was $20 each. It came with a Nick Hotel t-shirt. I did not think that was overpriced. My daughter got a hair wrap for $8 and a airbrushed tatoo for $8. They will touch it up throughout your stay if it rubs off also. The food court is a little overpriced but everything in Disney/Universal is!! The room was great -- much better than a regular hotel room with just a bed and TV.
For the rate of $209 per night for a 2 bedroom with living room/kitchen combo, we think it was great. We will definitely go back!! My kids can't quit talking about all the fun they had!!
