"We had a terrific time. The staff treated our grandkids like royalty. The recreation team treated everyone fairly in choosing kids to participate in stage games at the pool area. Let's talk pool area. POOLS, SLIDES, MINI-GOLF, BB BALL, special areas for the smaller kids and the preteens had their area as well. Don't bring towels, they supply them for you.
"Food Court includes A&W, Subs (hot or cold) and Salads, Pizza hut and a grocery store. My gosh the kids picked out their juice for the morning and we purchased a bottle of Merlot. Back to the Pool Area. The Smaller waterpark area did have a shady spot by the pool bar but only chips, no food. BUT the gals making the smoothies were great. My grandson purchased a shell choker ($9) and it broke. They replaced it immediately without question. Later the gal saw him and told him she like his choker. It made him feel so special.
"The kids drinks were so cool, they squirted green and orange colored white chocolate into the glass and then poured the virgin strawberry daquiri in the glass, topped it with whipped cream and them drizzled the cream with the colored chocolate. TOO COOL! The only area I thought was a bit pricey was the kids spa - but what spa isn't pricey. Braids and wraps for hair, pedicures, manicures. and then a Nick shop for souveniers. A huge arcade, and 9 computers set up for kids to use. HOWEVER only three worked. I really wanted to post my review before I got home but the computer I got, the "D" didn't work.
"The little train out front was so cute. The train conductor M_F (a Man) and the weekends (a young gal) were personality plus. Yes, transportation is free to the parks but put on your fake smile because dependability IS NOT happening.
"Let's talk about transportation to and from airport or anywhere in Orlando. I went online and took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. We had million dollar service for a poor man's budget. I emailed Imagelimos - we got a black Cadillac Escalade SUV at the last minute because our travel agent Vicky at etravelomaha.com screwed up every inch of our trip including our transfers. She messed things up and the boss Jack Pritchard cleaned up her mess with pride of ownership to his company.
"Back to the hotel - excellent service. $299/night for 2 bedroom suite and $625/night for 3 bedroom suite. Buffets are $16 to $19 per person (adults) kids eat free. Well worth it - great choices, 5 star rating on food choices. We are talking Holiday Inn has found their niche in Orlando and have hired the best. Louis in the reservation dept in the Nick Store - My Gosh you work so many hours, you always look good, and have mastered the art of customer service. I thank you!
